A 14-month programme to consolidate fragmented infrastructure across nine sites into a unified, audit-ready cloud operating model.

The challenge

Meridian operated nine clinical sites on aging, disconnected infrastructure. Patient systems suffered frequent outages, audit preparation consumed weeks of staff time each year, and rising hardware costs were unsustainable. Leadership needed a new operating model — without disrupting patient care.

Our approach

We led an end-to-end discovery, mapped clinical and administrative workflows, and designed a target architecture on AWS with Microsoft 365 for collaboration. Migration was sequenced site-by-site over 14 months with zero scheduled downtime during patient-facing hours. A managed services contract took over day-two operations on cut-over.

Outcomes

Annual IT spend fell 40%. The first post-migration HIPAA audit closed with zero findings. Clinical staff report measurably faster system access, and the IT team has been redeployed from break-fix work to clinical innovation projects.
